History

Cambridge at Home was founded in 2007 by a group of Cambridge neighbors who gathered to share their thoughts about the future. They came to the conclusion that they wanted to stay in their own homes as they got older, instead of moving into independent or assisted living facilities. They understood that in order to maintain their homes, health and happiness throughout the challenges and transitions of aging, they would need support along the way. They banded together to develop a grassroots membership organization to provide programs and services critical to helping people age in place.
